Gruesome Playground Injuries will have five performances at the Underground Collaborative, Thursday-Sunday, February 1-4, 2018, to serve as a preview and fundraiser for the first full season of The Constructivists. Rehearsals will start December 11, 2017. There is a break the week from Christmas to New Years.
How to Submit: We are no longer accepting submissions for Gruesome Playground Injuries. A waitlist will be provided at the door. Please sign in, and auditionees will be seen on a first come, first served basis. And if you could bring on h/r, it would be greatly appreciated. Please note: The Underground Collaborative is located in the lower level of the Grand Avenue Mall, which closes at 8pm. You'll need to enter the building before that time if you wish to be seen.
Jaimelyn Gray is an actor/director/producer/Wisconsin native currently based in Chicago. Credits include the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Riverfront Theatre, Profiles, TUTA, and most recently collaborated with Luda Lopatina Solomon to form Chicago's only English-Russian cross-cultural theatre company, Bluebird Arts. Find The Constructivists at the Underground Collaborative:
Enter the Grand Ave mall from the Wisconsin Ave. entrance between Plankinton and 2nd St. (across the street from Mo’s Irish Pub, near the Riverside Theatre). The elevator is located just as you enter the building or enter the next set of doors to enter the mall and then take the spiral staircase downstairs. The UC is located on the Lower Level.
Parking
There is ample parking available, we are right in the middle of the city! Street Parking is free after 6pm on most surrounding streets (Be sure to obey parking signs).
The Parking Garage attached to The Grand Ave mall is accessible via Plankinton Ave. There are also several pay surface lots that have parking available less than 2 blocks away between Michigan & Clyborne/2nd & Plankington. Rates for pay parking in the area varies, some are as little as $4 after 5pm.
