CAST AND CREATIVE TEAM FOR
“A VERY DEADLY CONSTRUCTIVISTS HOLIDAY 2024”
Milwaukee, WI – Tuesday, November 13, 2024 – The Constructivists are delighted to announce the return of A Very Deadly Constructivists Holiday for its second year, running December 5-14, 2024, in the Studio Theater of the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, Milwaukee, WI. Conceived by Jaimelyn Gray, this original production in a new iteration is curated, devised, and written by a talented ensemble. “Deadly Holiday 2024” is directed by Andrew Hobgood, while Gray remains involved as a concept consultant.
With A Very Deadly Constructivists Holiday, audiences can expect a cleverly subversive take on seasonal celebrations, breaking free from traditional holiday tropes for an evening of laughs and thought-provoking commentary. It invites the audience to an unsettling gathering hosted by the eerie Yuletide Visitor, who revels in the season's shadows as much as its cheer. Through seven darkly funny tales, each rooted in a modern take on the seven deadly sins, Wyvee and their Little Helper guide the audience on a journey where ordinary desires reveal sinister consequences. In this surreal holiday cabaret, the season’s spirit is both festive and fatal—where light clashes with darkness, joy with dread, and tradition with a dose of the unexpected.
“Deadly Holiday” features Andrea Ewald, Anya Palmer, Emily Mertens, Haley Ebinal, Joe Lino, Kristina Hinako, Nate Press, William Molitor, and Ky Peters. Directed by Andrew Hobgood, the production is supported by an experienced design and production team: Sarah Harris as Scenic Designer, Les Zarzecki as Set Construction, Ellie Rabinowitz as Lighting Designer, Ekene Ikegwuani as Sound Designer, Vee Delgado as Costume Designer, Nicole Magnusson as Violence Choreographer, Laura Sturm as Intimacy Choreographer, Ky Peters as Stage and Props Manager, and Breanne Brennan as Media and Videography. This year’s cast brings fresh humor and perspective, adding new layers to this darkly comedic holiday experience that’s quickly becoming a Milwaukee favorite.
