THE CONSTRUCTIVISTS TO OPEN 2023-24 SEASON WITH ORIGINAL
“A VERY DEADLY CONSTRUCTIVISTS HOLIDAY (WITH MUSIC!)”
Wednesday, November 29, 2023 – (Milwaukee) The Constructivists are excited to formally announce the Cast and Creative Team for A VERY DEADLY CONSTRUCTIVISTS HOLIDAY (WITH MUSIC!) running Wednesday, December 6th through Saturday, December 9th, 2023, 8PM nightly, at Zao MKE Church (2319 E Kenwood Blvd, Milwaukee, WI, 53211), lower level. The production is directed by Artistic Director JAIMELYN GRAY.
An original show, “Deadly Holiday” will feature real stories of the "seven deadly sins" throughout the holiday season, blended with re-imaginings of festive songs you know and love. The vignette-driven production is meant to make you laugh at humanity for being so angry, lustful, prideful, gluttonous, lazy, envious, and greedy during the holidays. And who knows: you might just walk away feeling inspired to behave a little better this holiday season.
The talented ensemble is comprised of Constructivists Artistic Associate Artists EKENE IKEGWUANI (The Totalitarians, I’m Gonna Pray for You So Hard), and KELLIE WAMBOLD (The Pillowman, To Fall in Love (The Constructivists), Schmitz n’ Giggles), returning Artists BECKY COFTA (Gruesome Playground Injuries (The Constructivists), Milwaukee Opera Theatre), NICOLE MCCARTY (Babel (The Constructivists), First Stage), and BEN YELA (I’m Gonna Pray for You So Hard (The Constructivists), Acacia Theatre), and new visiting Artists ANDREA EWALD (Lake Country Playhouse, Tokyo International Players Theatre), NATE PRESS (Milwaukee Irish Arts, In Tandem), and MATT SPECHT (Boulevard Theatre, Milwaukee Chamber Theater). They are joined a Creative Team made of Constructivists Company Artists SARAH HARRIS (Set Design) and LES ZARZECKI (Set Construction), Constructivists Artistic Associate Artist LIZ EHRLER (Stage Management), and returning Artists VEE DELGADO (Costume Design), JAMEY FESHOLD (Fight Choreography), KY PETERS (Prop Design), and ELLIE RABINOWITZ (Lighting Design).
COVID Protocols
The Constructivists will continue to put the safety and health of their artists and patrons first in the coming season. They will keep monitoring recommendations from health professionals and require masks and vaccine and testing protocols when necessary.
