PLEASE NOTE: We are continually monitoring the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic Alerts, City of Milwaukee Risk Alerts and State of Wisconsin Emergency Declaration developments closely. Performances will continue until recommendations change, at which time we will notify patrons of any performance cancellations. –The Constructivists
Here at 53212 Presents we strive to provide a safe and accepting space for artists and patrons. We pride ourselves on thinking of the community we serve first and as part of that we have stepped up our efforts to continue to house performances, classes, and events in a safe and sterile environment.
Unlike large venues, we are proud to continue providing opportunities for artists to create and patrons to explore the diverse, vast array of art that our city has to offer in a safe, controlled setting during this time of concern. We want you to know we are thinking of you first and so we have implemented the following steps:
1. We are screening attendees and performers in advance of shows, classes, and events asking:
a.) If they have recently traveled to or from any of the countries listed on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory list in the past 14 days.
b.) Whether they have had a fever and/or flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days.
c.) If they have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
2. We are using medical-grade disinfecting towelettes and cleaning supplies that are tuberculocidal, bactericidal, virucidal, and fungicidal to regularly clean and wipe down exposed surfaces.
3. We are using an ultrasonic ULV medical fogger machine to disinfect the space between performances.
4. Signage is being placed throughout the space reminding performers and patrons to practice healthy habits including washing hands, avoiding touching your face, and coughing/sneezing into your elbow and not your hands. We have restroom accommodations specific to our area and separate from the restaurant downstairs that is being regularly cleaned and stocked with the essentials for these healthy habits.
5. Hand sanitizer is being provided throughout the space and physical contact with staff such as ushers and greeters is being reduced to avoid unnecessary contact.
We also encourage all guests who are feeling ill to refrain from attending performances. If you prefer to not donate your ticket to help offset Coronavirus revenue losses, please contact (414) 628-6438 or email Kirk Thomsen, Kirk@53212presents.org, and we will do our best to help you exchange your tickets for an upcoming performance.
